Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone Bars

I have a new yummy bar recipe to share with you.  I got it from my friend Lori, after I devoured like 3 of these at our Sunday school BBQ this summer.  I HAD to get the recipe.

True to their name, you CAN’T keep your hands out of them.  The middle chocolate layer stays really creamy and soft.  So stinkin’ good!

Here is the link to the recipe:

Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) White Cake Mix
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ⅓ cups Oil
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Can) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • ¼ cups Butter, Cubed

In a bowl, combine the dry cake mix, eggs and oil. Press 2/3 of the mixture into a greased 9×13 pan. Set remaining mixture aside.

Combine milk, chocolate chips and butter; cook and stir until smooth. Pour over the crust. Drop small spoonfuls of the remaining cake mixture over the top.

Bake at 350F for 19 minutes or until lightly browned. Do not over-bake! The middle is supposed to stay soft.

Go print it off and make them, you know you want to.  Your diet hasn’t started yet anyways, might as well enjoy yourself a bit longer!  🙂

  Happy Baking!

Oh, and wish me luck.  Tomorrow I tackle a triple layer Italian Creme Cake from PW’s website to take to Christmas Eve dinner.

Cake pans hate me.  So do bundt pans.  Seems like no matter what I do to prevent sticking, there is not only sticking, but “clumping” if you will, as entire pieces of cake remain in the pan.  Oh the joys!

Fingers crossed it turns out….
