Hi friends, Just a quick note, my computer crashed right before I left for my weekend away at Women’s Encounter. I came home to the sad news that the hard drive was fried and I lost EVERYTHING! Future blog posts, all my documents, all my photos. π¦ I was unable to back up my files because the cd burner wasn’t working. My computer is only a year and a half old. Dell is on my doo doo list now!!! lol π I have this weeks blogs set up, but I am unsure at this point just how many posts were lost. Please bear with me in the days to come, I am having to come over to my moms to get on the computer, so if a day comes and no post, it probably was lost in the computer crash. On to the happy news, I one day plan to share my encounter with Christ at Women’s Encounter this weekend, but for now I will tell you this…..EVERYONE needs to go to one of these weekends. It is not a typical church retreat, it is a “tear down the walls, cry it out at the foot of the cross, build you back up before we send you home, I am free in Christ” kind of weekend with INCREDIBLE surprises at every twist and turn. It is truly changed my LIFE!!!! This weekend I traded beauty for ashes, peace for my despair, and gladness was given in exchange for my mourning. The story I will one day share with you is no longer a tragedy, it is a VICTORY, it is no longer my story, IT IS HIS! Praise be to my Heavenly Father, who so lavishly poured out His love on his daughter this weekend. Love you all, thank you for your prayers…..T
PS Yes, I came home to a clean house, happy bathed kids with such fun stories of their weekend with daddy, AND homemade cookies! Dale rocks!!!!! π
Oh, how frustrating about your computer!! Dave is a tech guy and he has always had Dell on his doo doo list π He has never called it that though, lol.
He really knows what he is doing and puts everything in English terms, so if you need some help, we usually have 2-3 computers around here that belong to friends and family that he is fixing.
So glad you were able to have a weekend away in doing awesome things. My child is calling me so gotta go, but glad it was good! Let me know if you need help!
Boo Hiss & Hallelujah – all in one post! =D SUCH a stinkin’ bummer about your computer….ARGH! I feel your pain. It’ll take some time to recover, but when this happens to me, I figure it’s time for a good cleanup. SO sad to think of all the time you put into things that are now lost. I’ve never heard of this ‘brand’ of ladies retreat, but sounds incredible. I got to attend an ExtraOrdinary Wowmen of Faith on Sat. and it was very heart-stirring too. God is so good to not give up on us sinners. His faithfulness to us is so amazing. Hope you enjoy the warmth of the SONshine this week. Keep looking up Hon! XO
Thanks, Mrs. Baker! The SONshine has warmed my heart and it overflows with joy! π My understanding is unlike other retreats, Women’s Encounter doesn’t foo foo it up at all, its more of a spiritual boot camp so to speak. There are no professional speakers, just women who were called to share a testimony on a particular subject near and dear to their hearts with surprises in the form of activites that drive the point home in such a real and tangible way. Powerful powerful stuff and it is growing and growing! First California, then Missouri, then little ol’ Hutchinson, Ks. These encounters are filling up within DAYS of open registration! DAYS! God is moving in our great, but fallen Nation, praise the Lord!
So sorry to hear about your computer!! π¦ But, SO happy to hear about your release from the shackles!! You need to listen to the song:

Goodness….
Homemade cookies!?!
I had a clean house and clean happy children.
But no cookies!!! ;o)
Heard from one of the other sweet girlies at the Encounter, that you had a blog.
Coming by to say Hi and….to offer a prayer of thanksgiving for your beautiful blessings of redemption at the foot of the cross and through the encounter.
May God continue to bless you with peace, joy and of course beauty.
XO
Kristin
p.s.
It was awesome to see you there with your mama.
What a testimony to a relationship between mother and daughter.
Precious!
Thanks, Kristin! Your blog is awesome!!!!!! I look forward to reading more soon, when I have my own computer back! I love fellowshipping with other Christian bloggers on the good ol’ www.
Oh, and THANK YOU. God is so good and I am so thankful for the beautiful gift He gave me at Encounter. Yes, my momma rocks! I love love LOVE that she lives 4 minutes away, and that she and I are so close in spirit too. I count my blessings, often!
Computers are so wonderful but can be such a pain at the same time. I dropped my laptop that had all my inn stuff on it not long ago and it damaged the part where you charge it. Soooo, once the battery drained down (which is was almost gone when I dropped it), I couldn’t charge it back up to get any of my stuff off it. It was horrible! Then I started being real conscientious about backing up, but have gotten lax again. Your ordeal has reminded that it needs to be part of my regular routine again. So sorry it happened to you, but hope all works out well in the end.
Soooo glad to hear your weekend went well-can’t wait until you can share the details with us!
And I knew Dale and the kids would do well-cookies, huh? You can’t beat that-they are all real keepers!! π
Oh man, I can’t believe your stuff was lost! Boo on crashing computers. =( But I have to say that I CAN’T WAIT to read about your weekend. I’m already praising God for whatever happened, and I don’t even know the details!
Looking forward to hearing more about the beautiful things God did in your heart!
