Things sure are quiet at our house right now! After 2 weeks of back to back Florida family staying with us, we are MISSING all of our guests!
Here are the photos from a fun week with Uncle Chad and Auntie Lauren:
Remember their big news before they came, that not only were they miraculously pregnant, but with identical twins!!!! (Mono-mono twins that share a sac actually. This only happens 1% of the time!) God is so good!
Pray for Lauren and Chad as they embark on this HUGE journey to parenthood. Pray for the twins to remain safely on their own sides, the doctors will watch Lauren closely as the twins grow, so they don’t get mixed up in each other’s umbilical cords.
Being pregnant is hard work for BOTH parties apparently. Afternoon naps were a must while they were here, and I couldn’t resist posting this on Facebook while they slumbered:
We had such a fun week just hanging out, no big agenda.
Lauren’s babies wanted a Banana Split…..
Woah! This stuff is COLD!
I’m not so sure I want more of that stuff…..
Hmmm, maybe just a LITTLE more….
So, how about I try some of yours, Auntie Lauren?
I’m feeling a bit sticky, Uncle Chad…..
Great fashion minds think alike…….
Thanksgiving 1: Dale’s side
1- 18 leaf table, a teen table and 1 1/2 kids tables in the kitchen
Time to go home for a quick nap before Thanksgiving 2: My side for supper.
And the GRAND finale to our Thanksgiving Day:
The 3 oldest kids were invited to have a sleep over at Great Grandpa and Grandma’s house with Nana.
HOW FUN! 🙂
AND as tradition dictates, we put up our Christmas trees the day after Thanksgiving!
There is nothing like a twinkly Christmas tree-lit living room that makes me want to curl up in a chair with my feet tucked up beside me, with a cup of tea and a GOOD book!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of laughter, love, turkey and gravy, pumpkin pie until you have to unbutton your pants, and thanksgiving to our God and Father who makes all things possible!
Happy Monday!

What a bunch of awesome ‘flicks’ to share with us. I smiled all the way through every one of them. How sweet! You sure do have a bunch of darlin’ kiddos there! I know your families were happy to spend time with ya’ll too. LOVE your pretty tree. We have our 4′ fiber optic on a remote, so we just punch a button and the lights are on…or off. I love love love this time of year. SO good to share in your good times with you via pix. Have a wonderfully blessed week. XO
I loved those photos!!
How fun to see all the different family and fun things you did from guests to ice cream to naps all the way to the Christmas decor!
As I posted in a different comment we had 3 days of over night out of town guests and had one of our best Thanksgivings ever!
It was so much fun and the day after everyone left and before we cleaned up to much we put all of our trees and decor up inside and out we too always to that the day after Thanksgiving…
I have to agree one of my favorite times of the year is to sit in the family room with all of the twinkly lights under a quilt and read it’s so enjoyable again thanks for sharing such a nice post!
What great, candid shots! I read this too quick in my subscription file though, and thought there were going to be six little Fergusons! That’s great for the aunt and uncle!
Oh lands! 4 and no more is our motto around here! 🙂
What a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend you had….thanks for sharing. Seeing Paxton makes me miss my grandson at home, but we are having a great time with our kiddos here. We celebrated our 40th anniversary yesterday….PTL and my birthday today. Lots of celebration going on. The biggest praise is that my son here in FL got a job….they told him 30 hours when they hired him, but when he went in the first day they put him on the regular schedule for at least 40 hours. God is good all the time…this is an answer to a prayer that we have been praying a long time. My d-i-l is not a believer…..I pay she begins to see the things the Lord is doing in their lives and their kids are so open to Him. Love your tree….Sent as a babe to return as a King…Praise His Holy Name!
Happy Anniversary! Wow, 40 years, congrats and happy happy Birthday, Jane!
Your photos…..love them. Amazing. I chuckled out loud at the Paxton-and-ice-cream series, love the {extended} family shots, and golly Tonya, your kids are just TOO cute! I totally relate to Lauren’s continual naps…this weekend I actually spent more time asleep than awake! Kind of embarrassing, but for a good cause!
Thank you, Nikki! Nap up, you need it!!!!!!!!
Aaaawwww! I think you officially have the cutest kids ever.
🙂
Thanks for sharing all your photos! I’ll bet some wonderful memories were made!!!
Hey Tonya….my fav picks are the Pax and ice cream group. Poor child, probably never had ice cream before. (I’m kidding!)
And…I want to know how the Christmas tree in a bag experiment worked! Did it come out nicely decorated? Or did you have to do “repairs”?
You are about right with the ice cream thing, you know how about feel about white sugar and kiddos! But as all 4th borns go, he is getting everything a LOT earlier than the rest! LOL :)We have saran wrapped our tree 2 years now with commerical size saran and it has been AMAZING. Just a bit of branch fluffing on the bottom and tweaking a ball or two. Best part? We were done setting it up in less than 15 minutes. SCORE!
Oh Tonya you have my interest…
Tell me more on this saran wrapped tree Please??
Well Diane, you just gave me an idea for a post about it. I forgot not everyone was with us last year! 🙂 If you can wait until the 7th, I’ve got it scheduled as a Works for Me Wednesday post. Thanks for the idea! 🙂
Yep,
No problem after all the Trees will be up for several more weeks 🙂
I thought maybe I had missed a past post telling all about it !
I hope it includes photos :))
I love seeing the family resemblance that runs through your family–immediate and extended. So fun! The Christmas trees look BEAUTIFUL.
I love that you can see the resemblance! 🙂
Thank you! My Christmas trees are stored out in the shed covered in saran wrap all year long. Since it only took 15 minutes to set up, I feel as if I cheated a bit. A real time saver these days though with all the little people in my life! LOL 🙂
