10 on 10

Welcome to the 4th Edition of 10 on 10.  Last time I didn’t do so hot, and I hate to say it, but I think I stunk it up pretty bad this time too. It is HARD to remember a photo an hour!!!!!  At least this time I remembered to do it on the right day! 🙂

Here are the Ten on Ten instructions:

Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments. Then share your beauty with us on the 11th!

I give you, yesterday’s Ten on Ten:

{Or we could call it Thirty Three on Ten, since I shared too many, AGAIN!!!!}

Good  Morning my little Fergusons!

Can you guess what face I was making behind the camera as I GASPED at what had just occurred?!

This is the “Am I in big trouble, Momma?” face!

SUPPOSED to be making bed and getting dressed…..

Morning chores:

1) Check the garden

2) Let the chickens out

3) Set down the camera and forget to take another shot until 1. Oops!

Rest time!

Momma’s lunch and lunch time project, editing!

New photo props from an Oh-so talented friend!

Outside play time:

Fat Preggo Saprina, the kids are SO excited to have kittens! 🙂

Ty’s butterfly

Playing with “Confetti”

Piano practice for Destiny

YAY!  Daddy’s home!

Taco Salad, yum!

This is the part where we ran out the door for Kindergarten Round up and I didn’t pick up the camera again!  (Sorry guys, I will try to do better next time!)

I was asked to speak tonight about why we chose Christian education, and our families 60 year-long attendance of Central Christian School.  But, how is my big boy going to be in Kindergarten next year?!?! Only two at home with me, and only a few days of that since Avery will do Preschool 3 days a week.

Can I just pause life for a bit and enjoy the ride more fully?  This is all going too fast!

Happy 10 on 10!  If you want to join me next month, let me know and we can link our blogs up on the 11th when we share our photos!

Slow down, little ones! You are growing up TOO FAST!

  1. I am disappointed to see you allowed your very young cat to get pregnant! Are you not aware of how many homeless kittens there are? Please make sure you spay her and find her kittens life-long homes. Now that is a real challenge!

    • I know, I was so sad! We were saving up for her spay and she comes in every night to sleep to help prevent this from happening. One night she didn’t come home and viola, preggo! We will be planning her spay as soon as they are born, as well as finding good homes, or just keeping them all and spaying the girls. We need good mousers around here and are first time cat owners!

  2. I am a new follower and missed your other “10 on 10” posts. What months were they in? I love your recipes but I love the pics of those sweet kids more!

  3. I found your blog a few days ago and am really enjoying reading it. This is such a good idea, though sadly most 10ths of the month, I’m at work and would not be able to take a picture every hour…perhaps I should try be creative and just try for 10 photos in different hours… Looking forward to reading more on your blog in the future!

    • Hi there, Becky! Welcome! 🙂 If you decide to do it sometime let me know and we can link up! I don’t post on weekends, so that will be the only factor on this end. I don’t do 10 on 10 if it falls wrong. Have a great one! ~Tonya

  4. Great idea Tonya! I SO need to do this. It’s the random, unplanned photos that turn out to be the best! I’m pretty sure it would go something like you described – start out strong, set down the camera, six hours pass and then….SHOOT! Where’s the camera? I’m in for next month. Marking the calendar right now! Thanks for the invite and encouragement:)

  5. I always love these …on time not on time to many photos not enough photos It’s all good always enjoyable !
Oh and that photo of the Two boys in those Adorable hats I look at them and think now there are Dale and Tonya .Wow!

  6. well I joined your blog awhile ago and have so enjoyed it all, and can’t wait to try some of your recipes as I am always needing new ideas for supper. I was at the roundup and was so blessed by your testimony I wished there would of been the turn out that we were expecting, I think had hearing that they would of made a definite decision to Yes ! some how they should get a copy to show prospective parents to read. You are such a inspiration to me to strive to be a better Christian mom and wife and home maker, and cook. Thanks for letting God use you in so many areas.

  7. Aww this idea is lovely. And yes, I would probably forget to take an picture every hour, besides with my iPhone I wouldn’t be able to make such nice pictures like you did. Gorgeous!
Maybe I’ll try to remember it next month and do a light version of it 😉
