The 4 Seasons of Home

Welcome back! Did you all have a nice Thanksgiving?  We did! We all have so much to be thankful for.

So, a long, long time ago, I asked for your help on Facebook, to decide which 4 Canvases I should hang in my home to represent each of the 4 Seasons.

This project has taken me over 2 years sadly, because the first year, I was almost done getting my images from each Season, when my computer crashed.  Then I was grumpy about it, and didn’t shoot the Seasons again for a few years.  This year, I got it done, AND ordered canvases. Woot woot!

I couldn’t just pick one, so some Seasons have two canvases to pick from, or maybe I could switch out half way through a season or something….

Hey, a girl has GOT to have OPTIONS! 🙂

I will try to show both the image on my wall, and the original image in the following photos.

I chose this bench one for now, but here are a few others I am dying to get as I see good deals on canvases.

Winter:

I narrowed it down to just 2 images, this first one is what you see in the photo.  IMG_4878

The one of Dale, Pax and Bambi made the evening news last year!  It is the second canvas I have, and plan to switch it to this for January and February.IMG_4862

The problem is, I love the next 3 images as well, but didn’t get canvases made.

Maybe some day I will do a big canvas grid arrangement for winter?!?!?!  🙂

Apparently, it’s my favorite Season to photograph?!  I have a plethora of choices!IMG_2684

This one of our ducks and chickens made the local newspaper.  Despite the snow in it, it lives on my mantel year around and is my favorite of all time.  Ducks and Chickens

That is the 4 Seasons of Home, from my house to yours.

For those asking, (thank you, I am so honored!) images are available for purchase at my photography website, or if you want a professional canvas made, I need to order it for you.

4&Blue: Your Life, Stylized.

I am so excited to be going into business with my dear friend, Kalene from Blue Muse Photography. We have been shooting together the past few years, helping each other out with big shoots and weddings, but now it is official…we are going into business together.

We both will still keep our client base and do regular shoots alone, but anything stylized, wedding or engagement related from here on out, is shot together. Everything is more fun with a friend!

We are now taking Weddings for 2015, but slots are limited!  We would love to help you plan your dream wedding and get all the detailed shots your heart desires on your big day.

This is Emily, she and her mom had a neat idea, do a shoot in Mom’s wedding gown……

Meet Malcom and Amy, they decided to do a Trash The Dress Anniversary shoot.  Her motto?

Remember the moment, forget the rules.

This is Jeff and Natalie, their romance spanned across the US, as they communicated long distance through their relationship.  They will be getting married this year in Cali.

We loved that they were so open to our ideas for this shoot!

4 little Ferguson’s Wedding

You never know what the weather will do where we live, and this particular fall day, it was SNOWING!

This outdoor wedding just got a whole lot more interesting.

  The bridal party and bride and groom were total troopers, tramping around in the mud.0002 (1) copy0020 (1) copy0008 copy0015 copy0016 copy0041 (1) copy0088 1 copy0124 (1) blue sky copy0044 copy0072 copy0185 (1) copy

The groom’s family, and his friends, are AVID hunters. In fact, the brides gift to the groom was a handgun, so we were sure to get some gun shots for them, as requested.  Pretty neat! And don’t worry, we were very careful! 🙂

After much prayer, and last minute location decisions, the Sun came out just in time for ceremony. Sonshine, anyone?  Praise the Lord!
Good thing too, because not only did the brides parents build a GORGEOUS outdoor sanctuary, but she had a big entry planned for her groom!

The wedding was amazing, and their first kiss was shared on the altar!  True love, God’s way.

Due to the bad weather, we had to miss all of the couples part of the shoot, so Kalene and I drove back another day to wrap this session up. It was actually really nice to shoot without the pressure of the wedding ceremony start time looming.  706 1 vintage copy715 v copy716 copy724 copy733 copy714 copy738 vintage copy765 copy772 copy773 copy786 copy794 copy815 bw copy820 vintage copy

4 little Ferguson’s Photography: Newborns and Babies

I don’t photograph newborns often, but once in a while I try my hand at it.  This is an area I will not continue in, it’s just a lot of hours of work, and with me being an outdoor photographer, it does not lend itself to newborn photography!  These babies sure made me wish I had a studio though! 🙂

We just worked in front of my fireplace in the living room since it was such a cold, wintery day.  The girls cooperated beautifully!

This next set of photos is for a little doll named Emmy.

4 little Ferguson’s Photography: Families

I love the families that come to me for photos.  What an honor to capture their family at all their ages and stages!   I am not going to lie, this is also the hardest part of my job….it’s always a trick to get kids to look at the camera at the same time, nicely! 🙂

4 little Ferguson’s Photography: Senior Girls

Here are the rest of my beautiful Senior girls, more on the books that I will share later.  Photographing Seniors has to be one of my favorite jobs as a photographer!  It’s the one time I don’t have to spend dancing and whistling behind the camera for my clients attention, or MAKING them pose or smile.
Senior Girls looove to pose!   Haha! Love it!

4 little Ferguson’s Photography: 4 Season Senior

Meet Tori, my very first 4 Seasons Senior.  Sadly, she was also my last.  Her mom and I talked at length, and decided that most Seniors, {and their Moms} could not squeeze in one more thing before the busy, Spring Graduation time.  Because of this, I offer a 3 Season Senior instead: Summer, Fall and Winter only.

Still a Win Win Win!
